IMPORTANT MESSAGES:

  • Monday April 28, 2025 – Queen of Angels is an election polling station. Please be aware that there will be increased traffic in the parking lot and parking in front of the school is reserved for voters.
  •  This is a friendly reminder that if you haven’t already signed your 2025-26 Family Payment Schedule/PAD Authorization, to please either come into the office to sign or email qa@cisdv.bc.ca to have a copy sent to you for email approval, as soon as possible. The deadline to sign or send email approval for the 2025-26 Family Payment Schedules is Tuesday, April 29th and will guarantee your child(ren)’s enrollment at Queen of Angels School.

Emergency Information

In the event of inclement weather (or other emergency situations), the Principal (or his/her designate) will determine if a school closure is necessary.

This decision will be made as early as possible in the morning. A school closure notice will be posted in RED, at the top of the home page of our website. Our school admin will contact all families with news of the closure via a *bright arrow telephone message. *A bright arrow message is a digital voice dialer that enables the school to send out a mass notification via telephone to parents and staff quickly. As well, the closure announcement will be posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages. We will also contact Juice FM (89.7) – Duncan radio station.

If you do not hear of our school closure and the weather conditions are severe where you live, you will have to make a choice as to whether or not it is safe to bring/send your children to school.  Please use your discretion in this matter.  If you decide to keep your children home, call the school office as soon as possible.

In the event of an unanticipated closure during school hours (power outage, inclement weather, another emergency), we will ensure that all children are transported home or to an alternate approved location.

Your child’s safety is our main concern in emergency situations.  Please ensure that the office is fully aware of alternate emergency arrangements for your children.  As well, keep the office informed of any changes to phone numbers (regular and cell) and contact people.  Thank you for your cooperation and understandin
