- ATTENDANCE:
We want to take a moment to remind you about the importance of notifying the school if your child will be absent.
If your child(ren) will not be able to attend school, kindly notify the office by emailing qa@cisdv.bc.ca or by calling the office at 250-746-5919. This helps us ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
We make every effort to avoid mistakes, but it is important to acknowledge that they may occur from time to time, and you may receive a call when your child is at the school. This can happen when a student arrives after the morning bell and does not stop at the office to get a late slip. We do apologize for the inconvenience and stress that this may cause you. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
2. HEAD LICE AWARENESS AND CHECKS:
We kindly remind all families to check your child(ren)’s hair regularly for head lice. Head lice are a common issue in schools and are not a sign of poor hygiene. Regular checks help catch and manage outbreaks early, minimizing disruption to learning and reducing the risk of spreading.
3. DROP OFF & PICK UP SAFETY:
Please remember to slow down during drop-off and pick-up times. The safety of our Angels is our top priority, and your careful driving helps keep everyone safe.

4. DURING POWER OUTAGES:
In the event of a power outage, please contact the school directly at 250-746-5919 for any absences or early pick-ups. During these times, our email system will be inaccessible.
